A strange thing happened 2 1/2 months after Warren’s death. The children decided it would be best if I were dealing with just one bank so went to Roosevelt Bank to pay off the car. I was nervous about doing this. I had to go to Citizens Bank, get a $5,000 check, then go to Roosevelt and pay off the car debt. This may not sound like much but I had never had any dealings with banks, Warren had done it all.

When it was all done I got in the car and said, “Well Warren are you laughing or crying about this?” Then I went on to do a little grocery shopping. I had one bag (the brown bag) and I put it in the back seat. When I got home, I carried the bag into the condo and put the it on the counter when I noticed a tag on it. It was a Christmas tag and it read: “To My Love,” from Warren. Where did it come from? Warren was in the hospital during Christmas and I had moved into the condo in March. Anyway it made me feel good and somehow was a sign for me that I was doing all right.
